Our people truly make the difference at Bed and Breakfast Associate Bay Colony. We all love our work! We have a dedicated staff of professional travel associates who are knowledgeable about each and every one of the properties we represent and, of course, Boston and its surrounding neighborhoods. Our entire team makes regular visits to all of our B&Bs, inns, vacation rentals, corporate housing and extended stay furnished rooms and apartments to ensure the highest standards are met so your stay with us will be comfortable and memorable.

Meet the Owner: Marie Kemmler
I am a native Bostonian who has traveled and lived in several parts of the US and abroad, including two years  as a volunteer in the Peace Corp working in micro-enterprise.  I am an entrepreneur and advocate for small businesses. Since acquiring this agency many years ago, I've had the most fun and rewarding experience of my career. When I'm not working, I often spend my time exploring Boston as a tourist, discovering hidden places, or enjoying time with my grandchildren. I love domestic and international travel, including visiting remote areas and developing countries where I can meet with locals and experience their lifestyles and customs. You can also find me at the theater, classical music performances, playing tennis and golf, reading adventure and intrigue books, or watching movies. My joy these last few years has been talking with other travelers and helping them find their ideal accommodations. It gives me great joy when I hear about their wonderful experiences at our properties.  My team and I have a fun time visiting the properties we represent and learning more about our interesting and pleasant property owners.

I grew up in Boston and went to school in the Back Bay, so I am a true Bostonian. My husband and I raised our twin boys in a suburb just west of Boston, but we still enjoy exploring the city. Our newest pastime is sailing our 40-foot Islander around Boston Harbor. My love of the city and helping people from all around the world with their travel needs, is what I enjoy most about working at Bed and Breakfast, Bay Colony – even after 24 years!

I am a graduate from Northeastern University in Boston, MA with a dual degree in Management Information Systems & Marketing. I love working with people and creating long lasting relationships. The hospitality industry always fascinated me because you never receive the same experience; it’s an adventure everyday! I have huge passions for special event planning, dance, fashion, sports & wellness, and I’m a classically trained pianist for 20 years. I also love to travel internationally and hope to one day retire overseas!

Doreen H.
I've lived and worked throughout Boston and the surrounding neighborhoods all of my life. A native Bostonian, the city always calls me home, no matter where I may visit in the U.S. or abroad. I attended Simmons College in Boston and currently live on the North Shore with my husband, two boys, and a beautiful fawn whippet. You'll often find us sailing coastal New England in the summer and skiing our northern mountains in the winter.

Lynn O.
I moved to Boston from Arizona 30 years ago and love New England! Even when I travel on great vacations to the Outer Banks, Alaska and even Ireland, it feels so good to be back home. After working in the hotel business for many years helping people with their hotel needs, here I am, “retired,” and still helping visitors find fabulous accommodations. Together with spending time with my grandchildren, I’m as busy as ever…and loving it.

I'm a native New Englander, having grown up in historic Concord (where I played the fife in a marching band and was a tour guide at Louisa May Alcott's Orchard House). I'm an avid cook and "foodie," and enjoy the wide variety of food available in the Boston area. At any time you may find me enjoying dim sum in China Town,  grabbing take out a my favorite deli in Brookline, or treating myself to a sumptuous cannoli in the North End. I love traveling during the off season with my three daughters and spend a week each August in Vermont.

A true New Englander, I was born in Boston and studied in Vermont. After college, I returned to Boston and lived for a number of years in both the North End and the Back Bay. Now happily nestled in the suburbs with my husband and two school-age boys, I seize every chance I get to spend time in the city, by chaperoning school field trips, trying the newest South End bistro on a Saturday night, or visiting the many properties we represent.

I live in suburban Boston with my husband and two school-aged children. I spent my childhood moving around quite a bit and have lived in New York, California, Ohio, Alabama, South Africa and Luxembourg. After attending college in Pennsylvania, I moved to Boston and have been here for 16 years -- far longer than I ever imagined living anywhere. I still love to travel though and am perpetually planning our next vacation!
