HILL LODGING "THE JEWEL BOX" (M128) Welcome to
the "Jewel Box," where practicality dances with elegance in this
lovingly handcrafted Beacon Hill haven. The Jewel Box encompasses the
owners' design philosophy: "To walk softly and harmoniously on the
earth and to live passionately, fully, and truly luxuriously, without
excess or waste." Tucked away off the street on the top floor with
large sunny windows facing distant roof tops and the sky, you'll wake
to birdsong and quietude even though you're in the heart of the city.
Climb the stairs to your private plant-filled roof deck overlooking
the Charles River to enjoy peacefully the sun's rising or setting.
The apartment is
beautifully appointed with Italian sheets and Eiderdown pillows and
comforter, a fully-equipped kitchen with Italian dishware, gas stove,
state-of the-art appliances, and full-size washer/dryer. You’ll enjoy
the windowed bath with tub and shower, and nestle in by the Vermont
Castings gas “woodstove” on chilly nights. The built-in "library sofa"
with storage loft above serves as an extra twin bed when needed. It
is just a 5-minute walk to the "Red Line" (MGH subway stop)
