One of the oldest and most historic homes in Chelsea, this Victorian began its life in 1896 as a single family home built by the Kimball family, inventors of the ‘Heated Railroad Car.” The owners live in the very large Victorian home on the property and offer their units. They occupy the lower levels of the Victorian home and will happily share with you descriptions of nearby historical sites (along with their favorite local eateries!). The Boston View is part of the Victorian house, where you can enjoy a skyline view of Boston and the famed “Zakim” Bridge. The Carriage house is three floors of extraordinary design of angles and windows with a fabulous deck overlooking the landscape.

The home is located in the Prattville area of Chelsea (just outside of Boston at the Medford/Everett line), which also has abit of history. It is said that George Washington trained and drilled his troops in fields in Prattville, which are now enjoyed as parks. There are several historical sites in the area, which the owners will share with you along with their favorite eateries, or you can discover them through tourist information left for you to read.

Just outside the estate, at the corner, is a bus stop that takes you directly to the North End in Boston. You can also drive a few minutes to the Wellington Orange line subway stop to the North End. In addition there is a train to Boston within a ten minute walk.

The estate is at Washington Ave, and Jefferson St.
 

CARRIAGE HOUSE VACATION RENTAL (IN250) This is a superbly and aesthetically designed carriage house. It has three floors with spiral staircases. The first floor has a living room with a double sleep sofa, a dining room, a full kitchen with a washer and dryer, and a lovely deck overlooking the yard. The second floor has an office area, another sitting area, a bath, and a bedroom with a queen bed. The 3rd floor has a small sitting area and another bedroom with a queen bed. Parking is available in the driveway plus additional parking is on the street.

Winter Season: $150-175/night, $750-1350/week.
