Your well-traveled, interesting hosts welcome you to their darling, creatively designed Cape Cod home on a lovely, quiet street in Newton Highlands. The guest rooms are serene, uncluttered, and soft with soaring ceilings and views of treetops and sky. Wake up to sunlight streaming in from large skylight windows. At night, star light fixtures create a romantic glow. The main room, with a queen bed, fills one side of the 2nd floor house (8.5' x 14'). Another room on the opposite side of the floor (14' x 13'), with skylight and triangular windows, has two twin beds and a loft with a single futon mattress for an older child or teen. The private bathroom, in the center of the hall, has a shower and a 2-person Jacuzzi whirlpool tub, where you can relax as moonlight shines through clerestory windows. This bathroom is trimmed in cedar and mahogany woods with jet-mist granite countertops and a granite stone floor and shower wall. The entire second floor is private and rented to one party only. A park with a jogging trail is across the street, and it is a 10-minute walk to shops, restaurants, and the subway into Boston (for a 25-minute ride to downtown). The house is convenient to Routes 9 and 95 and the Mass Pike (Route 90). It is about six miles to Boston, two miles to Boston College or to Andover Newton Theological School, and four miles to Boston University. Your gracious hosts are happy to drive guests to nearby destinations when they are available.
